laptops, wifi, and skype

so i am considering ditching my cell phone for a laptop with skypein (it is a service of skype where you get a phone number) does anyone have this service, and would you reccomend it for use from say a borrowed wifi signal while out on adventures

    I did this about a month ago. It has been pretty nice. I got skypein and skypeout so I can get and make calls. Service is great as long as your wifi is great.

    You can buy a phone from skype that picks up wifi also. That is my plan here for the future. Way better than having a normal cell. I think it ends up being about $12 a month. Unlimited in and out calls in the US. cost about 11 cents to text and you CANNOT receive text. That part kinda sucks. But for the money. Fuck yeah, Go for it.
